Process Development

Product Life Cycle: POC, EVT, DVT, PVT & MP. I normally involved from EVT stage, where we begin brain storm a product assembly flow, doing potential risk assessment, and implementation in the NPI line. Along EVT & DVT, we will have non-stop FACA, DOE and REL review to ensure product goto MP stage with minimum DPPM.

Product Yield Improvement

Yield Improvement = Good FACA (Failure Analysis, Corrective Action). FA require analysis on failure mode, select right tool for defect diagnosis, create hypothesis, confirm with defect reproduction. CA included containment action & corrective action. These actions require either product design change, material control, process optimisation, indirect material (epoxy) change or handling improvement.

LIDAR PROCESS STAFF ENGINEER

2022-2023

- Work on Level-4 ADAS lidar product
- Supplier – LGIT in Paju & Magok, Korea
- Responsible on :
1. Supplier engineering team & NPI line bring up, MP ramping.
2. Participate and drive on lidar process development, especially on critical optomechanical process like FACS AA / VBG AA / Laser-FPA Alignment.
3. Aggressively involve in every aspect of the product, including engineering, manufacturing, equipment selection & buyoff, failure analysis & reliability with best-in-class specification.
4. Within internal team, frequently communicate and collaborate with cross functional team in design review, issue discussion, schedule planning & other like technology & cost saving brainstorming.
5. With supplier team, micromanage production line readiness, process development progress (DOE …), FACA & yield bridge, also helping on direct & indirect material tracking , reliability & test issue discussion.
6. Prepare report & review documentation for internal external meetings.

- Develop and implement the LED Flash Calibration system, RGB camera testing, Intel IR camera re-calibration, RGB to IR Camera Mapping Calibration & validation.

- Work on MEMS camera module
for OPPO. - Supplier – Flextronics in Zhuhai, China
- Setup a camera test team in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Consist of 7 ppl, cover camera module test hardware & image analysis development .
- Co-develop camera module AA equipment with HVS in Korea.
- Support factory on tester buyoff, yield FACA, test time & sequence optimization.
- Roll down test Control with Checklist, GRR & Tester Correlation.

TEST ENGINEER

2007-2010

- Work on mobile camera module for Motorola, Sony Erricson, Apple, Black Berry & Microsoft.
- Office & factory in Penang & Batu Tiga, Malaysia
- Develop and implement the camera module focusing station, final test station, LED Flash & color calibration system.
- Support factory in yield improvement, test time & sequence optimization.

NPI TEST ENGINEER

2004-2006

- Work on Luxeon Level 1 LED package.
- Factory in Penang, Malaysia
- Co-develop LED package test & sort equipment with supplier Elsoft.
- Research & integrate different hardwares like SMU, IS spectrometer for performance & cost saving purpose.
